Return to Sender has for several years now bought products from twenty-five indigenous Kaqchikel women in the town of San Antonio Palopó.
Return to Sender supports this producer group in various ways. The women are trained to use looms in order to be able to take part in the production process. Additionally, modern foot-treadle looms were bought to replace the old back-strap looms. Furthermore, product development is an important part of the project: new designs are made on the basis of the makers' own cultural designs, colours and techniques, in keeping with current market trends.
