Sapana school
Nepal
Education in the southern Nepalese region of Chitwan is, in many cases, woefully substandard, with an average of more than one hundred children in a single classroom. Moreover, the chances of an education for children of the economically disadvantaged Tharu community are very poor. Return to Sender contributes to the Sapana School, which means “dream school.”
The Sapana school will devote much attention to the strong cultural background of the Tharu at the Sapana School, and the classes will be small. The school is currently being built, and the teachers are following various training courses.
