WEAN is an umbrella organisation for women entrepreneurs in Nepal. With the “Woman Power” project, they support nineteen members from the crafts sector that may be able to export unique products.
The Return to Sender funds for this project are spent on training courses for product development that will improve the women's access to the European market. Traditional techniques are used for new designs in collaboration with Western designers. For instance, a training course for 17 producers place in November 2009, taught by a Dutch and a Swiss designer.
