I am an ISM, or Intentionally Single Mother. I'm the proud Mummy of Sanne (over 4 months old now). My own mother gave me a Return to Sender as a gift for Sanne. She thought it was a good and fun project, and she also thought it was very special that this T-shirt had been made by other single mothers. While, of course, I'm much better off than the women in Madagascar, this T-shirt does make me feel connected to them a little. Luckily, the T-shirt is still one size too large, so Sanne can enjoy it for a long time to come, and promote Return to Sender while she's at it! Of course, Sanne is too young to understand all of this. So when she grows out of her T-shirt, I plan to frame it, along with the tag that came with it, and put it up in her room. So I won't forget to tell her about this later!
