Seeing the Ghanaian basket, I travelled back in time in my mind to nearly 30 years ago.

To the market in Yadokunya, Nigeria, where I bought a similar basket, made of woven plastic. We put a small mattress and sheets in it for my daughter's doll.

I'll be using the Ghanaian basket for my groceries and, who knows, perhaps for my grandchild's dolls?
